The next social on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 will be the ever popular annual luncheon at the Halifax Casino. I hope you will all be able to attend. We would also appreciate any feed back on the management of the club. Any suggestions for possible new events are most welcome. Please feel free to Email or call me or the other board members. The Board is also looking for suggestions for possible changes to our Christmas social. To aid us for 2011 we will be making proposals and asking for a show of hands at the Casino Luncheon.
For my special feature this month I have the pleasure of including a short summary of Ernie Franck’s life. I am sure you will agree that it has been a full and eventful one. His wartime experiences must have been harrowing and very difficult especially the four years in Russian prisoner of war camps. It speaks volumes that despite all that horror, Ernie is the gentle, kind and humorous man we all know. I hope he will share his prewar and WWII experiences with us. Thank you Ernie for your contribution.
