President's Message - November 2009

President’s Message ….
The next social will be the annual Christmas Party at Ashburn Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. This will be my final event as your President. Working with our very enthusiastic Board over the past two years has been very special with great cooperation and teamwork. We had very well attended socials, increased our membership and made improved use of the electronic world. At this time we say farewell to Maureen Betts and Dieter Schroeder as members of the Board and welcome the return of Gary Upham and the addition of Marie Rose.

I will be your Past President for the next two years. Ben Weeks will move to the President role and Gary Upham will handle Vice President. Erald O'Brien and Neil Mackinnon will continue as Secretary and Treasurer. Judy Rafuse will provide Outreach services. I wish all the Board well in the future and know that the club remains in good hands with the leadership provided by Ben.

My Special Feature this Newsletter is Alex Butt. It was a pleasure interviewing Alex. It is always amazing to learn so many new things about annuitants and their spouses during these discussions. I thoroughly enjoyed this part of the Newsletter preparation.
