President's Message - June 2008

Spring has finally arrived and your Club's plans for the first social event of the year at Brightwood Golf and Country Club are well underway.

Its been a long winter and we are all looking forward to seeing each other again. Some of you had an opportunity to spend time in the warm sun in the south.

It is such a pleasure to walk the beach in the morning and listen to the sound of the rolling waves. It is also interesting to observe people on the beach as they pass each other and nod or say Good Morning even though we are total strangers.

Now that we have the good weather at home, the first social event of the year will be the lobster dinner at Brightwood Golf and Country Club on June 19. We will be honored with Dartmouth's Refinery Manager, Janet Matsushita as our guest speaker. Janet joined Imperial Oil in 1985 and became the Dartmouth Refinery Manager in 2007
